OUR STORY

Once you pass through the front gate of Haritatos Vineyards, decorated with the family coat of arms, you will have gone through a portal in time.The estate is the ancestral home of the Haritatou family dating back to the 1400s when Kefalonia was ruled by the Venetians. Amongst its many farm products, the estate has always had their own vines.  

 The family house, which dates back to the mid 1800s, is a living museum of nostalgia, a testament to this family’s long history on this island. There are art installations and sculptures sprinkled throughout the grounds as well as inside the house. The private church on the property is used for baptisms, weddings, and other events.

HARITATOS VINEYARD- Dry White Wine

Category:P.G.I. Slopes of Aenos Kefalonia 
Variety:100% Muscat 
Area: Lixuri Kefalonia   Altitude: 200m      Soil: clay
Vinification: κλασσική λευκή οινοποίηση fermentation at 16-18 C

Sensory characteristics: Lime,unripened pear and marjoram, honey and apricot.
Powerful, rich mouth feel with sharp acidity and creamy finish.
Tasting Notes:Expressive nutmeg and whitewash fruit with tones of citrus, white flowers, green herbs, and a hint of rose water.
Storage  Keep it for 3 more years.

Pairing: Sea bass, poultry with white sauces and vegetables, composite salads, sweet pasta, fricasse mussels graciné with chicory, roasted in shell and various peppers garlic and parsley and dill, fried chicken wings with sprig and trout, pork sausage with herb mustard.

Sensory characteristics:Fresh and spicy, fruity,refreshing and creamy
A chameleon type of wine,ideal for every occasion all year round 

Pairing: The robust character of Mavrodaphne is a perfect match for hearty meals. Pasta with red sauces , chicken yuveci Ζυμαρικά με κόκκινες σάλτσες, κοτόπουλο ,γιουβέτσι

MADEMOISELLE HARITATOU - Dry Red Wine

Vinification Clasical red  wine making with pre fermentation cryoextraction for 8-10 hours
Maturation:- without barrel 

Sensory characteristics: fresh Mavrodaphne with aromas of fresh herbs of Kefalonia juicy cherries and black cherry, hints of white pepper and cinnamon  Elegant wine with refreshing acidity and noble tanning.

Pairing Everything contains chopped meat, cooked beef, red meat with vegetables.

Pairing The wine's mouth brings to mind quail made with real belts But also a carbonara or the egg-eaglewood vine leaves dolmades
